Clarenville Retirement Centre
donates $700
to Palliative Care
Discovery Health Care Foundation is proud and honored that the Clarenville Retirement Centre and its residents support our projects. Norma Smith-Spurrell, Recreation Coordinator, says the Retirement Centre is involved in many different activities and over the past while they raised money from a quilt which was donated to them by Shirley Keats, a former resident of the home. They also have another resident, Austin Strong, who grew a beard and shaved it to raise money. Together they raised $700 towards the Palliative Care Programs for the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital. A heartfelt thank you to all the residents and workers. “Thank you for helping others stay healthy and happy right here”!
