Ava Oliger
donates $500
to Covid Relief Fund

Ava Oliger is a 12-year-old from Clarenville who wanted to do her part during Covid-19.  She knows this is a very challenging time for many of us, so she decided to do her part and make face masks for the Town of Clarenville.  She called it “Face Masks for a Cause”.  Ava said with the money she made she was going to donate to the “Covid Relief Fund”.  The face masks in the pictures are the ones she made herself.  She had a certain amount in mind that she wanted to donate, and once she made that amount she started using any extra money to make more masks.  Ava donated $500 today to all the health care workers in Clarenville because they’re doing their best to keep us all safe.  She is pictured presenting the cheque to Leona Piercey, CDO, Discovery Health Care Foundation.  Thank you Ava for thinking about others, it is greatly appreciated, and I know the staff will appreciate it as well.

“Thank you for helping all of us stay healthy and happy”!
